Join the members of NOISE for a community workshop in contemporary music. Winds, brass and strings are invited to spend an intense evening exploring the sounds and techniques of contemporary chamber music and to present a concert as part of the soundON Festival of New Music at the Athenaeum Library in La Jolla. The workshop is open to all players ranging from high school to amateur adults. This workshop will focus on ensemble works ranging from pulse-pattern to soundscapes. Works presented will include In Daylight and Cool White (to Dan Flavin) by Christopher Adler, Voices of Nagasaki by Wil Offerman, Loops by Christian Hertzog, and 16,511,451,251 by Daniel Jabasa.
