OPEN CALL FOR SCORES Due to the overwhelming number of impressive compositions submitted for our 2009 Call for Scores, we will not hold a call for scores for the 2010 soundON Festival. We will select additional winners for 2010 from the works already submitted. Although we are not having a formal call next year, we continue to welcome submissions for general consideration at any time. NOISE specializes in the performance of complexist music, groove-oriented and minimalist music, innovative textural soundscapes and creative combinations of these. Composers of any nationality may submit works of any duration for three to six instruments selected from the following: flute (picc/alto/bass), violin, cello, guitar (acoustic/electric), piano and percussion. Works with multimedia technology, text-sound pieces, and variable-instrumentation works will also be considered. Works with modest percussion setups will be considered favorably. Solo works or works requiring instruments not shown above will not be considered. Submit scores and recordings along with performance history and composer biography. Composers will be notified in advance if their works are selected for performance.
